Bronze statue of Vidya Sagar Rao in the water Dome

The government has made it clear that he will name the Dandi Lift scheme in Nalgonda district in recognition of R. Vidyasagar Rao,a senior state advisor to the state government recently dead.He decided to set up a bronze statue in Jalasandha. The Department of Irrigation has clarified that it will soon be announced on the government's behalf. After the formation of Telangana, Vidyasagar Rao has worked with the development of irrigation projects, re-engineering and new projects.

He has done a great deal of effort in organizing the pallamuram-ranga Reddy and Dindi Edithapala schemes. Chief Minister KCR and Minister Harish Rao announced that he will name a project in the state after the death of Vidyasagar Rao on 29th December. In this background, he came to the conclusion that he would be named as Vidyasagar, for the Dindy Lift project in Nalgonda district. The government is likely to announce the announcement at his memorial meeting on Saturday. He also informed that the bronze statue was set up next to Ali Nawab Jung Bahadur in Jalasudha.
