Jawan's wife attempts suicide

Hyderabad: Wife of an army jawan attempted suicide along with her six-months-old daughter in Alwal here on Wednesday. The infant died in the incident while the mother sustained minor injuries.
According to sources the woman first threw her daughter then latter attempted suicide by jumping from the second floor of a building at Venkatapuram in Alwal.
Alwal police told that the woman identified as Upama Singh (45) was having disputes with her husband Umesh Singh, a jawan in the Indian Army. The couple had four daughters. They were staying separately for some days. They had a row on Wednesday evening following which, Upama Singh took the extreme step.
