TRS plans to built Telangana Bhavan in Bengaluru soon

The proposal to set up a Telangana Bhavan in Bengaluru has received a boost with the Karnataka government issuing a directive to establish the building, according to a press release from Kannada Rastra Telangana Association (KRTA). Members of KRTA had recently met the Karnataka Chief Secretary, who has sent a directive to revenue officials in Bengaluru to allocate an acre of land for establishing Telangana Bhavan and to prepare a detailed project report (DPR), according to founder and president of KRTA, Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

Expressing his happiness over the development, Makthala said KRTA has been taking several measures for the welfare of people from Telangana living in Karnataka.The KRTA had met representatives of BJP, Congress and JDS and submitted the proposal to create Telangana Bhavan. KRTA members also met former Prime Minister and JDS chief HD Deve Gowda who assured support to the creation of Telangana Bhavan and also promised the inclusion of the same in the party’s manifesto during the elections. 

HD Kumaraswamy too, soon after becoming the Chief Minister had taken a favourable decision for the establishment of the building.Upon receiving the approval for the proposal, Karnataka State Chief Secretary sent a directive to south Bengaluru, north Bengaluru and Anekal Taluka Tehsildars to scout for a suitable one acre plot of land, prepare the DPR. Following this, officials have begun the process. Telangana Bhavan was conceptualized to create a home-like environment in Bengaluru for all those hailing from Telangana.
