36K Food Security Card applications approved: officials

The Civil Supplies Department officials said that verification work for Food Security Cards (FSC) applications is going on at a brisk pace and out of 73,295 applications received, as many as 36,737 applications have been approved by the area inspectors and are ready to be uploaded online.In a news item published in these columns on July 29, it stated that only 61 applications were approved and out of 38,278 applications received between January and July -2018, 1,703 were processed. Chief Rationing Officer said, they had found that 21,595 applicants already have FSC in other districts.
