Police rescued minors from brothel houses in Yadagirigutta

A gang which was procuring minors and pushing them into prostitution after using hormonal injections to make the children attain early puberty, was busted by the Yadagirigutta police.


Eleven minor children were rescued from different brothel houses and eight persons, who allegedly sold these children, were arrested here on Tuesday. 


The rescued children were found to be in the age group of three years to 12 years and the arrested persons were identified as K Kalyani (25), K Anitha (30), K Susheela (60), K Narasimha (23), K Sruthi (25), K Saritha (50), K Vani (28) and K Vamshi (20).


Inspector of Police Yadagirigutta, A Anjaneyulu said the suspects targeted children who were lonely and orphan, kidnapped and sold them to these brothel houses. The traffickers were procuring the children, taking advantage of their poverty, from different places through professional mediators and took care of them till their teenage. These minor victims were sold for Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh to the brothels.


The rescued children were found to be given hormonal injections to attain early puberty by a private medical practitioner who used to charge Rs 25,000 per injection. About 10 days back, the Yadagirigutta police had invoked PD act against K Yadagiri, K Sandhya, K Shashirekha, K Buchamma and K Niramala in connection with the same case.The children were sent to rescue home and the suspects to judicial custody for further probe.


Apart from the police, teams from Child Helpline and ICDS apart from She teams participated in the operation to free the minors from the clutches of brothel operators. Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Mahesh M Bhagwat appreciated the teams and presented rewards to them.
