Second dry run of Kaleshwaram pump successful

In yet another milestone, the dry run of second pump (139 MW capacity) in Package 8 of Kaleshwaram project has been completed successfully on Saturday. The pump attained full rpm (revolutions per minute) of 214 within 10 minutes after it was kick-started.In a release, Telangana State Lift Irrigation Projects Advisor Penta Reddy said that the dry run of first pump was conducted successfully in the presence of Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao a few days ago. The Minister expressed satisfaction over success of dry run of second pump and congratulated all the engineers, technicians, workers of TS Transco, contractors MEIL (Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited), irrigation department and BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) on the occasion.
