EoDB Rankings: State govt complains over the rankings

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were Ranked No.1 and No.2 respectively in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Rankings. Telangana Government firmly believes the Ratings were inappropriate and it deserves much better position.The Youngest State complains errors in the calculations deprived it of the No.1 Ranking. It remains firm on the stand that both the Telugu States should have jointly shared the first rank.

TRS Government points out Calculation Errors has done injustice to other states as well. While Jharkhand which should attain 3rd Rank was placed at 4th Position, Madhya Pradesh has been pushed to 7th Spot though it must receive 6th Rank.

Ministry of Commerce hasn't responded to the apprehensions raised by Telangana Government. CM KCR who isn't happy with the treatment meted out to Telangana ordered TRS MPs to raise the issue in Parliament. A complaint was also filed with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) of Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
