Police Commissioner distributes bags to school children

City Police Commissioner M Anjani Kumar on Saturday visited Singareni Colony and distributed bags to over 800 school children. Speaking to presspersons later, he expressed happiness over the way the sector Sub-Inspectors were visiting the slums every week and maintaining rapport with the residents. “It is a good initiative on the part of the officers,” he said.The knowledge gained by these students in English and Mathematics was highly commendable, the Commissioner said adding that the role of NGOs was important in helping the students to improve their skills. Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Ramesh Reddy and other officials took part in the programme.
