IIT Hydrabad to launch the incubator today

The incubator is a joint project of IIT-H and Union Ministry of Electronics, Information and Technology. Its goal is to act as one-stop solution for incubatees intending to work in the area of chip design. Starting a company in Integrated Circuit (IC) design field is an enormous task as hardware, software and relevant infrastructure for the same requires a huge amount of capital investment. Also, developing a business model in this highly competitive domain is a non-trivial task. Mentorship by experts in both technical and business domains would hasten the process of transition from a startup to a revenue-generating company. Prof UB Desai, Director, IIT-H, will launch the incubator on Friday morning on the premises of the institute.
