Two medical students, stuck in their hostel at Kottayam in Kerala following the unprecedented floods that have ravaged the State, will head home to Telangana on Monday. The families of Maurya Raghav from Kothagudem and Saran Sravani from Warangal, had requested IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao to help the two medicos come home.

Following the requests, the Minister’s office instructed the Collectors of Warangal and Kothagudem districts to discuss the possibility of evacuating the two students. According to a release from the Minister’s office, both the students are safe and are taking shelter in a five-storied hostel building in Kottayam along with few others. Train tickets have already been booked for both the students and they are expected to leave Kottayam for home on Monday, the release added.
