Dharani, the online system designed as a one-stop service for all matters related to land records, is all set to fulfil its functions with officials reporting on Monday that the system was ready for use by people and officials and would be fully accessible to all in a couple of days.
Though the State government had launched a trial run of the website two months ago in four districts, its reach was expanded to include all districts on a trial basis. While only Revenue Department and staff at sub-registrar offices had access to the website so far, steps are being taken to take Dharani services to the people to serve their needs. On Monday, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Rajat Kumar Saini told Telangana Today that the department was ready to conduct trial run in a couple of days and take Dharani into public domain in an effective manner. “At present, all officials concerned are using Dharani and getting service without any difficulties,” he said.
All services at one place
Rajat Kumar said once Dharani becomes fully operational, Pattadar Pass Book (PPB) holders can get all services at one place, including getting pahanis, I-B, digital maps, survey number details and more. Dharani will also help property buyers register their purchases at sub-registrar offices. People will also be able to avail mutation, name change, phothi and other services without visiting the tahsildar offices.
Dharani – Integrated land record Management system — will replace the existing Mabhoomi, Mee Seva and other land registration websites, Rajat Kumar said. It will also give clear picture of land details to the individual such as boundaries of survey numbers, extent including satellite picture of the particular land.
For smooth running of the new website at mandal and revenue divisional offices, the State government also appointed special computer operators and trained them on Dharani’s functioning. “We are confident about Dharani as it was developed with the latest technology available,” officials said.
