TSRTC record earnings on single day

In what has come as major relief for the cash-strapped Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), the corporation has achieved 100 per cent occupancy ratio and earned Rs.14.21 crore on a single day on Raksha Bandhan this Sunday.TSRTC mopped up this amount from 42 depots out of its 97 depots, nine divisions out of 24 divisions and three regions out of 11 regions. On an average, the corporation achieves Rs.10.21 crore a day, according to a press release. 

Similarly, on Monday, the day after the festival, the Corporation again registered more than 100 per cent occupancy ratio and earned Rs.15.46 crore compared to its average earnings of Rs. 10.21 crore a day.TSRTC Managing Director Sunil Sharma congratulated all employees for registering the record performance by utilising all resources and advised them to continue to put in the same efforts in the coming days as well.
