CM camp office's constable committed suicide

A constable from Santosh Nagar police station allegedly committed suicide by consuming insecticide at his residence in Gayatri Nagar on Thursday.The constable was identified as K Upender (40). 


According to police, Upender was working at the Santosh Nagar police station for 13 days and had requested for a transfer to Punjagutta police station. After the transfer, he worked at Punjagutta for 10 days after which he was attached to the Chief Minister’s camp office for work. However, he had not reported for duty there for the last 25 days.According to the Meerpet police, Upender was reportedly depressed due to family problems. This could have forced him to resort to the extreme step.The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case has been booked and a probe is on.
