BJP state president K. Lakshman welcomed the ordinance on Triple talaq, saying that Muslim women empowerment would strengthen the social fabric and pave way for development of familial relations.Asserting that the BJP was the only party which has the interest of minority welfare on top of agenda, he criticised the Congress for practising vote bank politics adding that on BC commission issue also it played a divisive role
