Principal Arrested For Misbehaving With Student

The principal of a private school was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly misbehaved with a 13-year-old girl student at Neredmet. Following the complaint a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act was registered and the accused was arrested on Thursday and sent to judicial remand.
The girl, who is studying Class 9 in Samaritan High School at Neredmet lodged a complaint with police against the accused principal A. Vishwanath(43), of misbehaving with her at the school on June 20, Neredmet inspector M. Jagadish Chander said.


"During the school interval, when her classmates were outside, the girl was alone in the classroom doing some classwork. Vishwanath, who was on rounds, then went to her and made unwanted gestures and comments,” the inspector added.
