IPS officer's Wife commits sucide

The wife of a senior IPS officer committed suicide by hanging herself to a ceiling fan in her house in Begumpet on Friday

IPS officers wife name is Usharani(51) was living with his husband M. Shiva Prasad and two children at Sai Sagar Heights apartments at Prakash Nagar in Begumpet. According to the police, Usha Rani was suffering from lung cancer for the past 11 years. Depressed over her illnes,she used to remain confined to her bedroom most of the time.

On Friday while everybody was sitting together after lunch, she went into her bedroom and locked the door. Everybody thought she might come out after sometime once she feels better. As she did not come out for a long time, the family knocked the door."There was no response from inside. A carpenter was called immediately to break the door open. She was found hanging from a dupatta tied to the ceiling fan. She was rushed to the KIMS, where she was declared brought dead.

The police registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem
