Woman jaywalker crushed by car at Shamshabad ORR

Hyderabad: Another horrible accident occurred at outer ring road (ORR) at shamshabad. A 40-year-old woman was hit over by an Indica car while she was waiting along with her neighbor. Though pedestrians are banned on the eight-lane access-controlled ORR, the women sneaked on to the expressway. The victim was identified as Devi from Harshaguda village. According to the police, Devi along with her neighbor shiva leela went to Shamshabad on Monday afternoon to pay chit fund amount. This accident occurred when they were returning back from Shamshabad to Harshaguda village.  Police inspector Krishna Prasad said, “As they were walking on the side of the road, an Indica car (AP 11 AG 3042), heading towards Vijayawada from the city, hit Devi. She was flung into the air due to the impact and thrown at a distance. She died on the spot.” Police arrested the car driver, Praveen, and registered a case against him under section 304-A of IPC. Recently Film actor Ravi Teja’s brother bharath also died in ORR area at shamshabad. The accidents in outer ring road are increasing day-by-day.
