5- year- Old Girl wins the gold medal

 A five-year-old girl from city bagged the gold medal in the Science Olympiad Foundation's (SOF) International English Olympiad exam held by the British Council in New Delhi.


 M. Advika Rao, she is stuying 1st class in  Discover Oaks School in Hayath nagar, achieved the medal at the seventh edition of the Olympiad. She stood first from both the states and secured all-India wise 13th rank. "We noticed that our daughter is very quick with learning and picking up new words. So, when the teacher sent a notice that there would be an English Olympiad exam, we asked her to appear for the exam where she achieved the medal," said the girl's mother Anupama Rao.
The English Olympiad exam was held in January and almost all schools from across the country participated in the event. The results were announced during the summer vacation and Advika received the gold medal and certificate on Sunday.
