Sircilla was declared open defecation free

Sircilla was declared open defecation free (ODF) on Monday. It is the second city in Telangana to get this status after Warangal. It secured the ODF++ status after completion of the Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP), said joint collector Yasmeen Basha.

The Sircilla urban local body, with a population of 82,257 and 14 municipal wards, has 100% individual sanitary latrines with running water facilities.
