Traffic restrictions in Hyderabad today

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police has issued a traffic advisory for Tuesday to facilitate a procession to mark the birth anniversary of Chhatrapathi Shivaji. The procession is being organised by the Chhatrapathi Shivaji Marata Navyuvak Mandal.

In view of possible traffic congestion during the procession and the public meeting, additional traffic commissioner Anil Kumar has requested commuters to take alternative routes. The procession will start at noon on Tuesday from the Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj Dwar at Puranapul and go via Jumerath Bazaar, Chudi Bazaar, Begum Bazaar, Siddiamber Bazaar, Shanker Sher Hotel and Bade Miya Petrol pump and the Shivaji statue at Imliban at 5 pm, where a public meeting will be held till 6 pm.

The following are the traffic diversions:

Siddiamber Bazaar: When the procession nears, traffic from Afzalgunj T-junction will be diverted towards Central Library, SJ Bridge, Central Bus Station and Rangmahal.

Salar Jung Museum T-Junction: When procession reaches Bade Miya Petrol Pump, traffic from CBS and Afzalgunj towards SJ Bridge will be diverted towards Afzalgunj and CBS.
