KCR assures dairy farmers subsidised prices

Mon, Sep 18 : In Paala Velluva (milk flow) programme, KCR met dairy farmers from all over Telangana and promised to give them buffaloes on subsidised prices, to increase milk production. The lakhs of dairy farmers in the state are able to produce just seven lakh litres of milk per day, whereas the requirement one crore litres per day, he revealed.
Milk is being procured from others states and even this is not much enough, he said. To create employment for the dairy farmers and procure sufficient milk, it has been decided to distribute buffaloes among them, he said.
