New excise policy with new rules begins in Telangana state

Mon, Oct 02 : Telangana government has recently announced a new excise policy for the years 2017-19 and it would be enforced for two years starting from October 1, 2017. The shops having the liquor stocks have begun implementing the new excise policy.
As the period of old wine shops expired, the new shops have come into force and accordingly, the licenses have been issued by the excise and the prohibition department. The said department has passed orders to open the shops in between the timing of 10 am to 11 pm and asked the shop owners to install the CCTV, implement the barcode principles and to sell the liquor as per the MRP only.
