Boy washed away in flood rain water

Sun, Oct 08 : A boy, Altaf Mohammad, was washed away in drain waters due to heavy rain at Chandrayangutta, in Hyderabad. Locals said that the incident took place this afternoon. Police and officials have launched search operations, hoping to find the victim. The drains in this area, adjoining Uppuguda, are overflowing, leading to heavy flooding of roads and bridges.
The situation was bad even before the rains, but no one bothered despite complaints, locals said. This the first such case in Hyderabad in the recent heavy rains.
