Mon, Oct 09 : Heavy rains lashed Ramanthapur area in Hyderabad, leading waterlogging of roads. Water entered the houses in the entire colony, forcing people to leave them and go to safer places. Two hospitals in the area, Jayakrishna and Manasa, were completely waterlogged.
Thanks to prior intimation of the rains, the hospitals management shifted the patients to other hospitals four days earlier. Peddacheruvu (lake) in Ramanthapur is overflowing leading to the colony being submerged in water. Reporters and others had to reach the hospitals on thermacol sheets.
