Telangana to supply water for irrigation through Pipe line system

Sat, Oct 14 : The Telangana state government has been planning to supply water to irrigation through the pipeline system. State Water-Irrigation Minister Harish Rao has been studying all the aspects of the said initiative in the line of Madhya Pradesh government which has launched it and has witnessed success.
The Telangana state government is likely to introduce piped irrigation system on a pilot basis in one of the packages of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. It will also study the impact of water conservation compared to the conventional canal irrigation method.
