KCR's full speech at Praja Aashirwada Sabha

Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao arrives at the venue Praja Aashirwada Sabha in Husnabad.Here what he spoke

* It’s election time again and why we had to dissolve it, I spoke in the press conference yesterday.

* Husnabad is close to my heart as I was the Siddipet MLA for a long time.

* From welfare, growth and long term plans, all of you are testimony to the work the government has done since the inception of Telangana.

* Electricity was one of the major concerns when Telangana formed but now, Telangana is the only state giving 24 hour electricity to farmers.

*  Opposition leader Jana Reddy challenged that if we did this, he would promote TRS and now I challenge him to keep up his part. It is because of 50 years of Congress rule that the entire nation is struggling now.

* There is 223000 KM of express highways in China. India only has 1900 KM of express highways. It is Congress’ incompetency that resulted in this. Congress couldn’t walk the talk so far.

* Transportation, water, electricity, everything is suffering because of congress. The natural water resources weren’t utilised properly. I ask who is responsible for the droughts in here. I urge all of you to think of who is responsible for all the poverty and suffering here.

* This is why we struggled for 14 years. I went on a hunger strike for the same reason. Because the government didn’t take care of welfare of the poor, didn’t take care of farmers, didn’t bother about anything. The Congress party leaders from Telangana only cared about their own power and positions.

* Former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy denied funds to this region and during that time, no Congress leader from Telangana protested against it. Eetala Rajendar and all of us protested.

* We fought hard, struggled and achieved the state and we were able to do it only with your support.

*  We came up with many schemes and programs without anyone asking us for them. There hasn’t been any necessity for the public to ask us or demand anything as we have been working really hard to give what the public needs.

* YSR didn’t want the Gouravelli project and that’s why didn’t focus on it. I personally visited the project and redesigned it to ensure that its a 8.5 TMC project. Congress government here worked as slaves to Delhi. They were even scared of the Andhra Pradesh CM.

* We created new districts, revenue divisions, gram panchayats and more and it’s a lot smoother now. Even the tribal villages are gram panchayats now. While Congress just spoke about everything, we implemented everything. It is up to the public to decide what they want and what is good for themselves.

* If you give us a chance again, we will ensure Telangana prospers. That is why we sacrificed the government now, to let the public decide. I urge the public to see for themselves what they have gotten from the TRS government. And take a proper decision.

* We also stopped the ‘encounter’ culture, stopped gambling, land grabbings, matka, illicit liquor, factionism and rowdism. All these were the forte of the Congress. If Congress comes to power, these will come to back along with water issues, electricity issues, problems for farmers and more.

* It was to solve these problems that I risked everything to ensure we got the state.I want to see a green, prosperous Telangana. With people from all communities living with self respect. If you give us a chance again, we will achieve it.

* I’m a native of Siddipet and that’s why I’m starting this from Husnabad. I want all of your support and blessings and I am sure if you stand by us, we will achieve all that we spoke.

*  I will shoulder the same responsibilities now and will strive hard to do a lot more if you give us a chance again. Your leader Satish was the one who urged me to form a separate revenue division for Husnabad. If Congress comes to power again, the state will go back to old state.

* I don’t want to blame the congress and that’s why I only spoke about the positive things that TRS has done. I urge everyone to remember your leader Satish Kumar and vote for TRS in the next elections. I thank all of you for waiting for us patiently. Jai Telangana
