TRS leaders fires on Konda Surekha

TRS leaders, including former MLA Vinay Bhaskar, MP Pasunuri Dayakar and Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) chairman Marri Yadava Reddy on Saturday criticised former MLA Konda Surekha and her husband and TRS MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao for their comments at a press conference over Surekha’s name not figuring in the list of candidates released by the party.Addressing a press conference at his residence here on Saturday, Vinay Bhaskar said that it was he who had paved the way for the Konda couple to join the TRS party following their plea when their political career was in jeopardy ahead of the 2014 elections. 

“They requested me to find a way for them to join the TRS party. But now that Surekha has not been selected as a candidate from Warangal East, the couple was speaking a different language. After acting in an undisciplined manner against the TRS, they have no right to criticise the party,” Vinay Bhaskar said. He alleged that Surekha and her family used to visit Bhupalpally and Parakala constituencies and disturb the party cadre despite knowing that they were not supposed to get involved in the works of other constituencies.

KUDA chairman Marri Yadava Reddy alleged that the Konda family had resorted to rowdyism in the Warangal East Assembly constituency. Dayakar found fault with Konda couple holding them responsible for a majority of corporators in Warangal East constituency distancing themselves from Surekha and her husband.
