Opposition parties in Telangana are planning to forge a grand alliance ahead of the elections to tame Telangana CM KCR and the ruling TRS party in its own den, thus giving massive shock to KCR who dissolved the assembly for early elections.

However the grand alliance of Congress,TDP,CPI,CPM and TJS hit a roadblock according to the sources. Even as Congress is planning to come with a grand alliance, TDP on its own started making efforts for a grand alliance. T-TDP president L.Ramana held talks with CPI over seat adjustments and also invited Prof.Kodandaram Telangana Jana Samithi chief for talks. He will soon meet TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy to discuss the alliance.

Inside talk is Congress is  willing to offer 30 seats to the TD, CPI, CPM and the TJS out of the 119 in the state.  However while the Congress leaders in South Telangana where many AP origin people reside are in favour of the alliance, leaders of North Telangana are against it as they fear that TRS may once again fuel regional sentiments by projecting TDP as a Andhra party.

Activists of Congress from Warangal and Khammam protested shocking everyone. They demanded not to allot Wyra and Station Ghanpur to alliance partners. TDP is demanding all the seats it won in the last elections, while Congress leaders aspiring tickets from those constituencies are opposing them.In the meantime CPM is opposing any alliance with Congress in it. It is keen to have a tie-up with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena. Congress leaders in North Telangana say TDP has no presence in the region and if TDP is given seats there, it would be disastrous for the party.
