Good response to GHMC job app

The recently launched on-the-job app of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has been yielding good results from the word go. The official app used by the engineering wing has been making ground level staff accountable and also improving their efficiency.The ground level staff including assistant executive engineers and executive engineers monitoring regular operations and maintenance works, has to upload the daily progress of the work, which will be geo-tagged automatically. The ground level staff has to upload the 'before' and 'after' pictures of road repairs, pothole filling, lifting of garbage and other activities. 

Officials claim that ever since the inception of this application, accountability and work efficiency have relatively improved.A senior GHMC official said that the ground level staff used to send vague reports pertaining to road repairs and pothole filling. But now, since the potholes will be geo-tagged automatically, the number of potholes filled per day has increased from 250 to 800!
