Police constable dies in road accident

A police constable of Chandanpeta police station Nalgonda died in road mishap at Bata Singaram near NH 65, Hyderabad on Wednesday.The constable R Lakshman (28) was on his way from his hometown Miryalguda to Hyderabad on his two wheeler, when a speeding Omni car rammed into him, leading to his death on the spot. According to Abdullapurmet police, Lakshman was coming to Hyderabad for doctor’s consultation, as his wife was not keeping well for sometime.
The suspect driver of the Omni car Krishna Reddy (50) was arrested by the police on Thursday. The body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital morgue for autopsy and a case has been booked.
