TRS has taken a serious exception to the statement of the Congress senior leader Gulam Nabi Azad who said there was no role of the TRS in formation of Telangana State.

Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, the TRS MP from Karimnagar B Vinod Kumar strongly objected to the statements of Azad undermining the role of TRS in formation of seperate Telangana State. He challenged Azad for a debate on the issue to present the facts of seperate statehood movement before people of Telangana state. He pointed out that the Congress was forced to concede to the demand of a separate Telangana state due to efforts of TRS which convinced 32 political to support the separate Telangana agitation. “Congress leaders got accustomed to speak lies for electoral gains and blame TRS for their mistakes in the past. Azad is no exception,” he averred.

He said notwithstanding the false propaganda of Congress, people voted for TRS declaring their support for torchbearer of Telangana struggle. He opined that TRS will be voted to power again for its development and welfare programmes initiated by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

“People not ready to hand over their Telangana to Congress which was main reason for injustice done to Telangana for over four decades. But they are ready to give fresh boost for the state development,” he added.
