Former sarpanch of manthany files DA plaint against MLA Putta Madhukar

Hyderabad: A complaint has been raised against Putta madhukar MLA of manthany constituency with the income-tax department and the Enforcement Directorate in connection with his Putta Lingamma Charitable Trust and alleged disproportionate assets.

The complaints come on the heels of the income-tax department action on Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy following complaints lodged against him by a TRS leader.

 Mr Enmula Satyanarayana, who is Ex-sarpanch of Manthani  alleged that the MLA had invested `50 crore in the Mumbai-based Adiraj Group of Constructions, He allegedly owns 61 acres of agricultural land in Venkatapur located near Manthani, worth `2 crore and over 100 acres agricultural land at Mahadevpur worth `4 crore.

Enmula satyanarayana also says he has 20 sand quarries worth about `20 crore were functioning in Manthani constituency in benami names which were funded by Mr Madhukar. The MLA Madhukar holds a major share in Bhavitasri Chit Funds Pvt, Ltd.

The MLA had invested in construction companies and hotels overseas and is also the partner of Bhuvana Suray Developers Pvt Ltd. His I-T returns found to be mismatched  to his monthly,annual  income,In a separate complaint filed with the I-T principal chief commissioner, TS and AP, Mr Satyanarayana alleged, “The MLA and his wife established a trust in the name of his mother Putta Lingamma in 2011. The couple has been collecting donations in the name of the trust." there were found some disproportionate results in the audit report and the actual income. Mr Madhukar’s 2014 election afidavit did not mention details about the trust, says Satyanarayana.

When questioined, the MLA refused the allegations. “I challenge Satyanarayana to identify the properties that he has mentioned as disproportionate assets or prove transactions where I have evaded tax,” the MLA said.

He said EX-SarpanchSatyanarayana was booked against several cases in the Manthani police station for bank fraud in 2010 and extortion in 2012. “There are  He works for a former Congress minister, my rival. Even before I entered politics, I owned agricultural land and tippers (vehicles). A few properties were gifted by my in-laws. Nothing is disproportionate to my income. I have not received any notice from ED or IT earlier for tax evasion”.
