The Congress is all set to start its election campaigning on Thursday after performing special pujas at the Jogulamba temple at Alampur.On the first day, the Congress will organise a road show from Alampur to Santhinagar and hold a public meeting at Rajiv Gandhi chowk in Gadwal.TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, campaigning committee chairman Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TS incharge R.C. Khuntia and senior leaders will taking part in the meeting.
Earlier, some TRS leaders and activists from Gajwel, the constituency of caretaker CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao have joined the Congress in the presence of Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Among those who joined the party were MPP president and mandal committee presidents.Addressing the newcomers, Mr Uttam Kumar Reddy said, “The migrations from KCR’s own constituency show the failure of the TRS. It is clear that Vanteru Pratap Reddy will win the elections against KCR. The TRS has started distributing money and alcohol.”
