Telangana HMDA appoints a Project director to fix ORR issues

Hyderabad: HMDA (The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority)  appoints a project director to address operational, financial, technical and intricate coordination issues on the Outer Ring Road (ORR). It has come to the notice of authorities that lack of electronic toll collection and smart card-based transit system are the main causes of long queues at toll plazas. 


Project Director have to fix the issues related to delay in completing LED lighting provision in the ORR, operational and financial issues in toll collection, mounting power bills, maintenance issues in toll administrative buildings,  running court cases and resettlement and rehabilitation issues among others. 


HMDA Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy said that the project director, who is yet to take charge, will handle issues to realize the goals of smarter and efficient mobility.
