Hyderabad: Rythu Bandhu cheques distributed by KTR.

Hyderabad: The Telangana caretaking government has distributed the Rythu Bandhu cheques today to extend financial aid to farmers for the Rabi season.


In the presence of minister KT Rama Rao the cheques in Hyderabad were given to the farmers.


Subsequently, the cheques will be distributed in all the villages of 12 mandals of 11 districts starting from today. The process of distributing cheques will be completed in six weeks, it is learned.


In the second phase, the government has sanctioned Rs 5,300 crores for the Rythu Bandhu scheme and it is learned that around 52 lakh cheques will be given.


It is known that the government has initiated the programme to eradicate farmer's suicide by providing an investment of Rs 4000 per acre.
