BJP State president Dr K Laxman on Monday described Mahakutami as Telangana ‘drohulakutami’ (betrayers’ front).Laxman was in town to oversee the arrangements for party national president Amit Shah’s public meeting to be held at Ambedkar Stadium. Later, speaking to reporters, he said it was unfortunate that Telangana Jana Samithi president Kodandaram, who led the Telangana agitation on behalf of TJAC, had joined hands with TDP and Congress.

“How can Kodandaram join hands with Telangana betrayers,” he asked, and wanted the TJS leader to reveal to the public the reasons for his decision to join hands with Congress and TDP, both of whom had done great injustice to Telangana.

Coming down heavily on TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, Laman said Naidu tried his best to stall the formation of Telangana State with his two eye policy. “After the December 9, 2009, announcement, Naidu provoked a movement in Andhra region, which resulted in the stalling of the bifurcation process, which in turn resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds of Telangana youth,” he said.

Chandrababu, who is now confined to Amaravati after the note-for-vote expose, was trying to enter Hyderabad under the pretext of Mahakutami, the BJP leader said, adding that the people were not willing to believe Congress too which was responsible for the death of hundreds of youth.

Alleging that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and MIM had entered into a secret understanding, Laxman said a vote in favor of TRS would be nothing but voting for MIM.

The BJP, he said, would go to the public with a new slogan ‘Marpukosam BJP, Eesari BJP’ (BJP for a change, this time BJP). Laxam appealed to the people of erstwhile Karimangar district to take part in Amit Shah’s meeting and make it a grand success.
