No online exam for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) from 2019

Due to technical issues in the online mode of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), the Consortium of National Law Universities has decided to conduct the test in the offline mode next year.The decision was taken at the fourth meeting of the consortium under the chairmanship of Prof. Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR University, Hyderabad. 


The post-graduate CLAT would also have a subjective portion besides multiple choice questions from next year for admissions into the LLM course.The details of the subjective portion would be worked out by the CLAT Executive Committee and would be announced soon.


The consortium has also decided to increase the number of exam centres depending upon the number of candidates who apply for the exam.The decision in this respect will be taken by the CLAT convener and the executive committee.
