Despite over-the-top promises being given by the opposition parties, people of the State were only keen on voting the TRS in the Assembly elections, said Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.Pocharam, along with Kamareddy TRS candidate Gampa Goverdhan, on Tuesday, attended a meeting of the party activists in the town. He said people believe in the TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as they saw his working style in the past four and half years. The Minister said the TRS government was constructing Kaleshwaram project at a cost of Rs 80,000 crores to make adequate use of the Godavari water. Through this project, around one lakh acres in Kamareddy Assembly constituency would get irrigation facility. He exuded confidence that the TRS would win 106 seats and said many opposition leaders would not even secure deposits, he added.

Gampa Goverdhan said the TRS, after coming to power, would reduce the age limit for Aasara pensions from 65 years to 57 years, give permission to construct double bedroom houses in their own lands, waive crop loans up to Rs 1 lakh. Leaders of the Congress, the TDP, the BJP from Tekriyal, Lingapoor and Devunipalli joined into the TRS during the meeting.
