BJP Telangana unit is slipping into a deeply helpless situation day by day. Its Karimnagar district president Kotha Srinivas Reddy has resigned from party’s membership after he was denied Husnabad MLA ticket for Assembly elections.

Srinivas Reddy has long been hoping to enter the electoral fray and he is working actively in BJP activities for several years. BJP has announced somebody else’s name for this ticket, which has enraged Reddy leading to his resignation.

The BJP cadres are in shock over the sudden turn of events in Karimnagar district, which is considered politically very sensitive and important for any party. Srinivas Reddy’s resignation came as a blow to BJP leadership, which is now struggling to overcome the sudden crisis.

Already, BJP is facing a huge dilemma on how to use the services of Swami Paripoornanda of Sripeetham who has recently joined the party formally. It is still not able to decide on whether to rope in the Swamiji to contest in Telangana elections as there are objections against his candidature because of his Andhra background.
