HC rejects permission for installing 'Pranay Perumalla' statue

The Telangana govt has informed the Hyderabad High Court that it had not given any permission for installation of a statue of Mr Pranay Perumalla on the main road in Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district. Mr Perumalla was hacked to death in broad day light in the town.Justice C. Praveen Kumar was closing a petition by Chinnam Venkat Ramana Rao, a resident of Miryalaguda, declaring that the action of the district collector, police and civic authorities in stopping the installation of a statue of Mr Perumalla on road was not violation of Article 14 21 of Constitution of India.


The state government said the police stopped the construction after they found tat required permissions were not taken for installing the statue. While observing that no permission  has  been  granted  to  install the  statue, the judge closed the case.
