TS Polls: BJP to to finalise second list of Assembly candidates soon

BJP election committee members met at the party office on Monday to finalise the second list of candidates for the ensuing Assembly elections.The meeting was chaired by party’s Telangana unit president K Laxman and attended by the State election in-charge and Union Minister for Medical and Health JP Nadda, party general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, floor leader in Telangana Legislative Council N Ramchander Rao, former legislator G Kishan Reddy and other committee members.

The party has so far announced candidates for 38 of the 119 Assembly constituencies in the State. Sources said the list of around 50 candidates will be announced in a day or two. “The list has been sent to Central Committee for clearance,” the source said.
