Hyderabad metro rail receives IGBC platinum award

Three metro stations in Hyderabad have bagged IGBC Platinum Certification award on Thursday which garnered high ratings in the environmental categories such as Site Selection and Planning, Water Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Material Conservation, Indoor Environment & Comfort and Innovation in Design and Construction.The three elevated metro stations -- Paradise, Rasoolpura and Prakash got 75 points each in the rating.


The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) announced the rating to encourage the practice of creating and constructing which are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient.The award was received by HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy and L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL) managing director KVB Reddy received the award.
