Yuva Telangana Party (YTP) has extended support to the BJP for the ensuing State Assembly elections. YTP president J Balakrishna Reddy met with BJP Telangana unit president K Laxman at the party office here on Thursday and extended his support.Speaking on the occasion, Laxman said Mahakutami would end up as ‘Maha Votami’ (great defeat) since there is no unity among the alliance partners. The situation in the Congress camp has turned worrisome which is clear from the fact that they are seeking votes from the people with the help of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he said, adding that Congress had mortgaged Telangana’s interest to Naidu.

Laxman said that after the release of Congress candidates’ list, many leaders from that party will join the BJP. “After Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rallies, there will be changes in the State,” he said, adding that IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao was making statements against BJP, which is in power in 19 States. The YTP president said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working for the all-round development of the country, which was moving towards national integration. Senior party leaders G Kishan Reddy and Bandaru Dattatreya also participated in the meeting.
