The Election Commission served notices on TRS leader T Harish Rao, Congress leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy for using unparliamentary language during poll meetings. Similar notices were also issued to TPCC working president Revanth Reddy and TDP leader Revuri Prakash Reddy. “We have issued notices to these four leaders based on complaints we have received and they have been asked to reply within 48 hours failing which necessary action would be taken against them as per the law,’’  Telangana CEO Rajat Kumar said here on Friday.

Rajat Kumar gave a stern warning to all the leaders of various political parties to restrain from using harsh and unparliamentary languages against their opponents, failing which the Election Commission will take serious action against them.  Harsh language would attract cases under various sections of IPC and CrPC,  the CEO added.  The political parties should desist from making personal comments, personal abuse and foul language,  he said.
