TS Polls: 43 Cases on BJP MLA candidate

The other day BJP leader T Raja Singh was in news for making a sensational statement about renaming Hyderabad city as Bhagyanagar, if BJP is voted to power in Telangana.Once again this saffron party leader made it to headlines but not for any statement, for his assets and cases against him. As election notification for the Telangana assembly polls is released yesterday, he filed his nomination on behalf of BJP.

In his election affidavit, Raja Singh claimed that he has 43 cases against him and the value of his total assets is Rs 3.07 crore. On his name there is fixed deposit worth Rs 55.99 Lakh in State Bank of India, Secretariat branch and three vehicles worth Rs 25.47 Lakh. On his wife, Usha Rani's name gold ornaments is valued at Rs 9.6 Lakh and Rs 4.68 Lakh worth fixed deposits.

In 2014, Raja Singh has won the Ghoshamahal constituency with 30,000 majority but then TDP had supported BJP. This time the saffron party is going all alone and it's going to be a tough fight between BJP, Congress and the ruling TRS.
