TS Polls: These 45 seats will key to form government

Hyderabad: The politics in Telangana turning intresting due to Assembly elections in State. The actual contest between TRS and the Mahakutami  led by the Congress is in about 45 Assembly seats.These 45 seats will decide the fate of the two rivals, both of whom are confident of coming to power. The contest between the two is neck to neck in many constituencies.

According to the present assessment and going by political atmosphere, the TRS is likely to win in 32 seats and Congress 27. During the elections, the trends change every day in the absence of a ‘wind’ for any particular party.

The MIM is said to be leading in seven seats, Telugu Desam in five and the CPI in one. The BJP is likely to win four seats. In some constituencies; it is giving tough competition to the TRS and the Congress-led alliance candidates.

Together with the MIM, the TRS strength will go to 39. With the support of the front allies, the Congress strength will rise to 33 seats. After giving the BJP four, the remaining seats are 46. To form the government, any party or alliance requires the magic figure of 61 seats in the 119-member Assembly.

The TRS is falling short by 22 seats (32+9 = 39) and the Congress front 28 (27+5+1= 33). They have to make up the numbers in these 45 seats which are witnessing a tight race.

The latest TRS assessment is that it will win 75 seats as predicted by TRS leaders. The estimation of the Congress is that the People’s Front will win a minimum of 75 seats.In some constituencies, people are openly opposing TRS candidates but at the same time they are saying that they want Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS back in power. The TRS candidates’ future depends only on the image of Mr Rao.

In the Congress Front there is no such leader and its strength lies in the alliance. In GHMC limits, the Congress front may perform well.The TRS’s strength is Mr Rao and his image and schemes. The strength of the People’s Front is he four major parties making an alliance, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and also the anti-incumbency feeling for TRS.
