BJP senior leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh participated in his second day campaign in Telangana on Friday. Accusing TRS president and caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao he said , KCR playing communal politics, senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh alleged that the pink party chief was trying to come to power through communal politics and minority appeasement tactics.

Rajnath Singh, who addressed election meetings in Sirpur, Warangal, Shadnagar and Nagarjunasagar on Friday, said that the TRS chief was trying to divide people of Telangana on communal lines to come to power.  “It is disturbing to note that KCR is playing vote bank politics. If you (KCR) want to play politics you should play the politics of humanity and justice and not communal,” he said.

Taking strong exception to KCR’s plan to provide 12 per cent reservation to Muslims, Rajnath Singh said such act would divide the communities on religious lines. “Unlike TRS,  BJP wants to empower all the communities in the country and not one particular community that too for political gain,” he said.

Describing TRS government as a failure, the senior BJP leader said that after the creation of Telangana State, the people expected the TRS government to fulfil their aspirations,  but unfortunately, it did not happen. The 14th Finance Commission allocated RS 1.15 lakh crore to Telangana State, but there is no sign of development, he pointed out.

On the other hand, BJP-led NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the country fastest growing economy in the world. “In 2014, India was in ninth position in the world’s best 10 economies and today it is in sixth position. This is the achievement of BJP government. If Telangana has to develop people of the State should bring BJP to power,” he stated.
