?Hyderabad: AICC chief Rahul Gandhi to address a massive public meeting at Kodad and a media conference in the evening in Hyderabad. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the public meeting at Kodad. Rahul Gandhi will address the meeting at 2 pm at Uttam Padmavathi Nagar Grounds at Kodad in Suryapet district. The meeting is likely to be attended by lakhs of people from Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies which were represented in the dissolved Assembly by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and his wife Padmavathi Reddy.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP national president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TJS President Prof M Kodandaram, balladeer Gaddar, Telangana TDP president L Ramana, CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, MRPS chief Manda Krishna Madiga and other leaders of People's Front will also attend the meeting. Rahul Gandhi will come to Kodad from Vijayawada which is about 95 km away.

Uttam Kumar Reddy visited the public meeting venue on Tuesday evening and reviewed the arrangements. Speaking to media persons, he said that Wednesday's meeting would be historic on many counts as Rahul Gandhi would end the election campaign on an energetic note. He said the People's Front comprising Congress, TDP, TJS and CPI would come to power in next elections and there was no doubt about it.

He said Chandrashekar Rao had ruled Telangana in a dictatorial and arrogant manner while giving no respect or importance to anyone except his family members. It is fortunate that people of Telangana got an opportunity to get rid of Rao’s rule six months ahead of schedule, he said.

The TPCC chief said despite knowing that his rule would come to an end in less than one week, Chandrashekara Rao did not stop targeting the Congress leaders by misusing police machinery. He strongly condemned the arrest of TPCC working president Revanth Reddy only to facilitate the visit of the Chief Minister to Kodangal. Describing the arrest as illegal, he said the way Revanth Reddy was taken into custody at 3 am was highly condemnable.

He said trespassing into the house of a legislator and one of the top leaders of a national party at past mid-night and taking him into custody by breaking open doors could not be justified. He said the police officials who broke the law and follow the illegal dictates of Chandrashekar Rao would certainly face action after Congress party came to power.

He slammed the Election Commission of India and other authorities for their silence over open violation of Code of Conduct by the ruling TRS. He demanded that the authorities ensure free and fair polling on December 7.
