Student dies after refrigerator blasts in house

Hyderabad: An 18-year-old engineering first year burnt alive after the refrigerator in her home blasted on Thursday evening at My Homes colony in Ibrahmpatnam.
It is learned that the incident occurred when Deepika opened the refrigerator door for water following which it blasted. She was engulfed in fire and succumbed to serious burn injuries. The furniture at home also caught fire due to the short circuit.
Neighbours who noticed the fumes coming out of the house informed the firefighting vendors. Deepika is learned to have alone in the home preparing for her upcoming exams while her parents went out for work and sister for school.
