Marry girls only after 18: TS Home Minister Mohammad Ali

Hyderabad: The sex ratio of Hyderabad has increased from 942 to 966, said Mohammad Ali, home minister for Telangana state on National Girl Child day celebrations at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium in Public Gardens on Thursday.
Girls from many government and non-government organizations took part. Speaking at the event, Mr. Ali mentioned that girls should be educated and married only after they turn 18.
Kalyana Lakshmi scheme in TS ensures this by providing them a grant for marriage. Officials from the women and child welfare departments were present.
